Overview
Hiyoshi Springs is a small hot-spring settlement in northern Izuhara. It is one of the earliest useful hubs in Ghost of Tsushima, combining a story location, several upgrade activities and a handful of easily missed discoveries. The settlement is best known as the starting point for The Tale of Sensei Ishikawa, but it also contains the unusual Hiyoshi Inn hot spring, a Bamboo Strike, a merchant, a bowyer, a trapper and a hidden introductory Haiku encounter.
The name can be slightly misleading. “Hiyoshi Springs” refers to the settlement and its immediate built-up area, while several nearby discoveries are associated with Hiyoshi on the map but are not physically inside the town. In particular, the Hiyoshi Haiku north of the settlement, Hiyoshi Inn Hot Spring, Sensei Ishikawa’s Dojo and nearby roads should be treated as distinct locations or subareas rather than collapsed into one generic “town” entry.
