Overview
Omi Village is one of the most important story locations in Ghost of Tsushima, despite being a quiet and largely unpopulated settlement. It lies in Kubara Prefecture, Toyotama, and serves as Jin Sakai’s childhood home. The village contains the Sakai family estate, the lake where Jin trained with his father, a small dock, ordinary dwellings and the nearby Sakai clan cemetery.
Unlike a fortified town or survivor camp, Omi Village is not designed as a major commercial hub. It has no armourer, bowyer, trapper, merchant or inn. Its importance is personal and narrative: Jin returns here during Act 2 to recover his father’s armour, reconnect with Yuriko and confront memories of Clan Sakai. Later, Omi Lake and the cemetery become the setting for crucial late-game scenes.
The village is also a useful exploration site. It contains records, a Sashimono Banner, a hidden altar and an optional haiku interaction at Jin’s father’s grave. Some of these discoveries are easy to overlook because they are not all displayed as standard map activities.
