Overview
Tatsu’s Ladder is a rugged inland landscape in Ghost of Tsushima: Iki Island. The name refers to a steep natural route climbing around a lake and waterfall, with cliffside paths, forest clearings and concealed traversal points. It is not a settlement or a combat stronghold. Its importance comes from exploration: the area contains a Bamboo Strike, several collectible opportunities, hidden-altars interactions and routes into the central and eastern parts of Iki.
The area is easy to pass through without fully searching. Its main landmarks are separated vertically, and some collectibles are reached from apparently unrelated approaches, such as the lake shore, a cliff above the water or the lower waterfall basin. A careful sweep should therefore include the high ground, the lake edge and the bottom of the falls rather than following only the obvious road.
Tatsu’s Ladder lies in the central-eastern part of Iki Island, between the broader Katayama Market and Yahata Forest areas and the terrain around Zasho River and Mount Takenotsuji. Guide maps place its Bamboo Strike west of the named Tatsu’s Ladder marker, near the western side of the lake. The landmark is therefore broader than the Bamboo Strike itself.
The landscape is built around a steep watercourse. A lake occupies the lower part of the area, while a waterfall and raised wooded ground lead towards the higher slopes. Several routes converge on the water, but the cliffs are deliberately arranged so that the player must look for climbing holds, grappling points and narrow ledges.
Tatsu’s Ladder has little conventional settlement infrastructure. There is no confirmed town centre, blacksmith, merchant district, inn or occupied fort within the area. Its function is closer to a scenic traversal zone and collectible cluster. Players usually visit it while travelling between central Iki locations or while clearing map activities.
