Overview
The Otaru coastal area is a compact but useful section of the Ishikari Plain in Ghost of Yōtei. It lies on the region’s south-western coast and combines open shoreline, climbable sea rocks, a fishing settlement, a Yōtei Six camp, a coastal cave and several nearby exploration activities.
The area is easy to overlook if you follow only the main roads. Its most important rewards are spread between the beach and the adjacent inland paths: a Sumi-e painting, a Pillar of the Fallen, an optional Altar of Reflection, the Toshi the Torch bounty, and equipment or cosmetic rewards associated with the nearby camp and random merchant encounters.
The area also becomes relevant to the Ishikari Plain story arc through Nishin Fishery. During the Sensei Tale The Burning of Castle Ishikari, Atsu must help liberate Nishin Fishery as part of the preparations for confronting the Oni.
