Overview
Sounkyo Gorge is a real geographical location in Hokkaidō, Japan, within the Daisetsuzan mountain area. It is known for steep volcanic gorge walls, waterfalls, hot springs and the nearby Sounkyo Onsen settlement. The name is sometimes rendered as Sōunkyō or Sounkyo. The area is associated with features including Ginga no Taki and Ryūsei no Taki waterfalls, the Ishikari River valley and Daisetsuzan National Park.
Sounkyo Gorge does not appear in the available regional breakdowns or access guides.
Accordingly, it would be misleading to invent a walkthrough, directory of landmarks, NPC list, collectibles or missions for this supposed location. The most likely explanations are that the name has been confused with a real-world Hokkaidō location, a fan term, an unreleased or post-launch area, or another gorge-like location in the game.
