Overview

Yotei Six Camps are occupied settlements, forts, work sites and hidden hideouts controlled by followers of the Yotei Six. They are one of the main open-world activity types in Ghost of Yōtei. A camp is liberated by defeating its occupying force, after which the location returns to civilian use and an Altar of Reflection becomes available.

The activity is broader than a simple list of red enemy bases. Several red-marked locations are camp-like areas connected to bounties or story missions but do not count towards the game’s 22 Yotei Six Camps or the For the Living trophy. Conversely, some of the counted camps are hidden behind shrine puzzles and do not appear as ordinary open-air settlements.

That distinction is important. Some guide pages describe every relevant red camp in a region, while trophy-oriented lists exclude mission-only or side-quest locations. The total of 22 refers to the counted activity set, not every hostile location marked in red.
