Overview
Fort Kaminodake is a story-important mountain fort in the northern part of Kamiagata, positioned at the boundary between the southern approach to the region and the roads leading towards Sago Prefecture and the northern territories. It is best known for “Wolves at the Gates”, the Tale in which Jin Sakai retakes the fort with help from Takeshi and his archers. The victory opens a practical route into the rest of northern Tsushima and marks one of the game’s major transitions into Act 3.
The fort is not a normal Mongol Territory with a permanent liberation banner, a fast-travel icon or a full set of optional camp objectives. Its importance is primarily narrative. It functions as a fortified pass, a temporary battlefield and a meeting place for later character Tales, especially Lady Masako’s “The Sister Betrayed” and the opening stages of “A Gathering Storm”.
