Overview
Mount Yōtei is a small, self-contained side area in Ghost of Yōtei, distinct from the much larger Yōtei Grasslands region surrounding it. The mountain is the geographical namesake of the game, but it is not itself the whole playable world. The broader base-game map is divided into six main regions, while Mount Yōtei is treated as a seventh, much smaller area reached from the western part of Yōtei Grasslands.
The mountain functions primarily as a linear climbing and exploration destination rather than as a conventional open-world region. Its principal activity is the ascent towards the summit, with the route beginning near Mount Yōtei Shrine between the Yōtei River and Lake Jōzan. The climb culminates in a summit viewpoint and includes one confirmed Altar of Reflection.
