Overview
Samani Geopark is not currently verified as an in-game location in Ghost of Yōtei. The real-world name most likely intended is Mount Apoi Geopark, a geopark covering Samani Town in Hokkaidō, Japan. Its official English material describes five areas and 35 geological, ecological and historical sites, including the Mount Apoi Area, Samani Coast Area, Horomankyo Area, Hidaka Yabakei Area and Shintomi Area.
By contrast, official Ghost of Yōtei material places the game in a fictionalised version of Ezo, corresponding to present-day Hokkaidō, around Mount Yōtei in 1603. It does not identify Samani, Mount Apoi or “Samani Geopark” as a game region.
