Overview

Sago Mill is a small dye-producing settlement in western Kamiagata, the snow-covered northern region of Tsushima. It lies in the Sago prefecture, east of Guardian’s Ridge and north of Sago Forest. Although the settlement is listed as a town on completion maps, it is not a normal commercial hub like Jogaku Temple, Kin Sanctuary or Omi Village. Its importance is primarily narrative and investigative.

The mill is the setting for Hidden in Snow, a side tale about the cost of survival under Mongol occupation. The people of Sago Mill have protected themselves by cooperating with the invaders, including handing over women from the settlement. Jin’s investigation exposes the settlement’s moral collapse and leads to a confrontation with its leader, Sota.

Sago Mill also contains several fixed collectibles, including the vanity mask Seiryuu’s Glare and three Records associated with the settlement and its dye-making industry. The settlement is not a Mongol territory and does not have a formal liberation objective.
