Overview
Chilled Peak Shrine is a high-altitude Shrine Climb in the far north-west of Teshio Ridge. Its entrance lies north of Sarobetsu Lake, in the cold mountain country, and the route is built around icy ledges, handholds, a cable crossing and exposure to blizzard conditions. At the summit, Atsu can pray at the shrine to receive the Charm of Sukunahikona.
The climb also provides access to the nearby Reliquary of Compassion, an optional puzzle site reached by taking a left branch near the upper section of the route. Completing that puzzle requires fire arrows and rewards the Yotei’s Mercy Mask, as well as an upgrade associated with the Charm of Mount Yōtei.
Chilled Peak Shrine is therefore more than a single prayer point. It is a cold-weather traversal challenge, a shrine collectible, and a route to a separate puzzle reward. The climb is not permanently missable, but its environmental hazards make preparation worthwhile.
