Overview
Hot springs, or onsen, are one of Atsu’s most useful exploration activities. Each spring provides a permanent increase to Atsu’s maximum health after her first bath there. The activity also ties into the Charm of Thoughtful Restoration, which becomes stronger as more hot springs are visited while the charm is equipped. Completing the full base-game set is additionally required for the Body, Mind, and Spirit trophy.
The springs are not confined to one settlement or one continuous resort area. They are scattered through the game’s major regions, from the early Yotei Grasslands to the late-game Oshima Coast. Some are open-air pools in remote countryside, some are hidden behind climbing routes or caves, and one is a paid facility attached to the Red Crane Inn.
