Overview

Oshima Coast is the southernmost major region in Ghost of Yōtei. It lies south of the Yōtei Grasslands and forms the principal setting for Chapter Two, making it both a late-opening exploration zone and an important story region. The area combines coastline, fishing settlements, agricultural land, river valleys, fortified sites and the Matsumae power centre.

Unlike the early-accessible Yōtei Grasslands, Tokachi Range and Nayoro Wilds, Oshima Coast is story-gated. It becomes available through the main tale The Saito Brothers, as Chapter Two begins. Some guides describe this as the final major region to open, although the game’s wider story structure can allow players to approach other regional objectives in different orders.

The coast is particularly useful for players who want to complete late-game exploration activities. It contains eight Altars of Reflection, five Yōtei Six camps, two Bamboo Strikes, two hot springs, a dye house, a fox den, a wolf den, three Pillars of the Fallen, a shrine, two Sumi-e paintings, eight bounty targets and a special place connected with the Speaking with the Land trophy.
