Overview

The Tokachi Range is one of the principal explorable regions in Ghost of Yōtei. It lies to the north-east or east of the Yōtei Grasslands and forms a broad transition between the warmer grassland country around Mount Yōtei and the colder northern routes leading towards the Nayoro Wilds. The area is not simply a mountain zone. Its verified subareas include open plains, river valleys, forest, marshland, lakes, cliffs and worked settlements.

Tokachi is available very early. The most consistently reported route is to follow the river and leave the Yōtei Grasslands through the Serpent’s Pass, then continue east or north-east into the region. One guide also reports that pursuing rumours of an odachi master can lead Atsu there indirectly.

The region is especially useful as an early exploration hub. It contains a major inn with several services, a cartographer, a farrier, an armourer, merchants, three recognised Yōtei Six camp locations, two wolf dens, bounties, shrine and collectible activities, and routes towards the Great Lake and Nayoro Wilds.
