Overview
Lake Shikotsu is one of the most important early-game landmarks in the Yōtei Grasslands in Ghost of Yōtei. It lies near Atsu’s childhood home and functions as both a scenic anchor for the opening region and a meeting point for several early exploration activities.
The lake itself is not presented as a conventional settlement. Its importance comes from the locations around its shores: Atsu’s former home, the nearby Home of the Storyteller, the Lake View Fox Den, routes towards Shikotsu Woods and Shikotsu River, and the lake-side events connected with Atsu’s past. The area also provides early access to a useful minor charm and to the tale that lets Atsu choose her horse.
