Overview

Crow’s Nest Watchtower is a ruined watchtower in the Yōtei Grasslands, positioned near the Nupur River and north-west of Yōtei’s Shadow Inn. It is an early exploration landmark rather than a settlement, dungeon or major story area. Its importance comes from three things: it provides a high vantage point for surveying the surrounding grasslands, it sits close to several early-game activities, and it contains the Veiled Sandogasa Hat, a cosmetic item found on the roof.

Crow’s Nest Watchtower stands in the open fields of the Yōtei Grasslands. Game8 places it north-west of the Old Inn, while other guides identify it as being near Yōtei’s Shadow Inn and the Nupur River. These references appear to describe the same early-game grassland landmark, although the inn naming is not consistent across the available guides. The dependable navigational detail is that the tower is near the river and can be seen from across the fields.

The tower itself is not presented as a large fortified compound. It is a damaged, climbable structure with a broken roof. A settler comments on birds nesting in the roof, providing the immediate context for the hat’s location. Once Atsu reaches the top, the Veiled Sandogasa Hat can be collected from the roof area.

The lookout’s other practical purpose is surveying. From the upper platform, Atsu can use the spyglass to inspect the surrounding landscape and reveal points of interest. Guides specifically associate the vantage point with discovering activities such as hot springs, bamboo strikes, enemy camps and duel trees.
