Overview
Yōtei’s Shadow Inn is the first substantial settlement hub in the Yōtei Grasslands. It is introduced during The Old Inn, the second main tale after the prologue, when Atsu follows leads concerning the Yōtei Six and finds the building occupied by Saito’s outlaws. After the fight, the inn becomes one of the earliest reliable bases in the game, providing merchants, bounty work, map purchases, fast travel and access to nearby side content.
The inn is more than a single quest building. It functions as the main early-game connection point between Atsu’s home, the northern and eastern Grasslands, Lost Monk’s Camp, nearby spiritual activities and the wider hunt for Saito’s forces. Several characters associated with the inn later move elsewhere, so its importance changes as the campaign develops.
