Overview

Echoes of Sekigahara Valley is best treated as the main explorable setting of Ghost of Yōtei: Echoes of Sekigahara, rather than as a separately documented base-game region. The expansion adds the Ashoro Foothills, a previously unseen area of Ezo that remains closed during the base game and becomes accessible through a new bounty involving Nagato the Handsome. The region combines present-day exploration in Ezo with story flashbacks to the 1600 Battle of Sekigahara.

The expansion is separate from the base game’s normal regional progression. It is not the same place as the historical battlefield of Sekigahara in Mino Province, nor is it the same as the base game’s Yotei Grasslands, Tokachi Range or other open-world regions. In gameplay terms, the valley is a compact, story-focused addition connected to the wider map through the Ashoro route.
