Overview
There is currently no verified in-game location called “Otaru Canal” in the base game of Ghost of Yōtei. The name appears to conflate the real-world Otaru Canal in Hokkaido with the game’s confirmed Otaru Beach and Otaru Hills locations in the Ishikari Plain region.
I cannot responsibly produce a conventional wiki guide for “Otaru Canal” as though it were a playable game area. Doing so would require inventing boundaries, buildings, shops, missions, characters and collectibles that the available evidence does not establish.
Ghost of Yōtei is set in Ezo in 1603, whereas the real Otaru Canal is a modern Hokkaido landmark. PlayStation’s official material describes the game as a standalone story set in northern Japan, around Mount Yōtei, and does not identify an Otaru Canal area.
