Overview
Saito Compound is a fortified Saito outpost in the Yōtei Grasslands, positioned near Shirahige Falls on the southern side of the region. It is not the same place as the nearby Saito Recruitment Camp, Saito Training Compound, or other Saito-controlled camps. In the base game, the compound functions as both an occupied enemy location and the destination for the bounty hunt Muneji the Bone Crusher.
The compound is one of the Grasslands’ more substantial liberation sites. Its importance comes from several overlapping systems: clearing it weakens Lord Saito’s regional presence, completes a Yōtei Six camp, opens an Altar of Reflection, and provides access to the Muneji bounty reward if that hunt is active. The site also contains a Lord Saito Missive, giving additional context for the clan leader’s political beliefs and his hostility towards the Shogun.
