Overview
Ran the Bowyer is the travelling bow merchant and bow specialist in Ghost of Yōtei. She is not a region, settlement or subarea called “Bowyer”. The term refers to Ran herself and, later, to her workshop and travelling vendor locations.
Ran is important for any player using ranged combat. She sells Atsu’s two standard bows, provides bow upgrades, supplies arrows and unlocks additional arrow types as the upgrade path advances. Her services are initially centred on Yōtei’s Shadow Inn in the Yōtei Grasslands, after the main tale The Old Inn. Later, she can be encountered at other hubs, including Red Crane Inn and Ishikari Market according to available guides.
Her personal story also leads to a dedicated workshop in Teshio Ridge and the Sensei Tale Secrets of the Heart. That mission awards the Charm of Raining Arrows, making Ran more than a conventional equipment vendor.
